Mission

Action for change is based on the idea that people (individuals, teams and groups) are really capable of changing reality in certain spots of the world, if they adhere to the same principles, have necessary skills and social links.

Action for change proposes such themes and forms that are not covered by traditional voluntary and social NGOs, but demanded by hundreds of civil activists in different countries. This program is intended for youngsters who are beforehand motivated and experienced in Human Rights activities and are ready to develop projects in this field for their local communities. Program team considers cross-border internships and exchanges as the means to strengthen international youth solidarity and cooperation for systemic and sustainable changes in the society.

Action for change is aimed at:
- supporting and developing international programs of internships and exchanges to promote Human Rights and Human Dignity (HR & HD);
- assisting in development of informational networks for exchange of experience between civil activists and young Human Rights defenders from different countries;
- strengthening the international youth solidarity and cooperation for HR & HD.

Action for change is addressed to:
- students and post-graduate students, school teachers and university professors;
- young researchers and scientists;
- journalists and media-activists;
- members of Human Rights and civil NGOs and independent groups (for beginners as well as for advanced activists and experts in the field of Human Rights defense, advocacy, anti-fascism and anti-racism, non-formal education, peace-making, etc.).

Action for change acts in the “East-West”, “West-East” and “East-East” directions. We started our Program in the region of the “Big Europe (from Council of Europe to OSCE states).
In our system of coordinates the “West” are the countries of Central and Western Europe (sometimes, USA and Canada). By the “East” we mean the countries of Eastern Europe and Newly Independent States (NIS). We are open for cooperation with NGOs and people from another part of the world!
